A sales rep from Wilkinson told me that gold hardware requires twice the work? There's a layer of copper over a layer of chrome over another layer of copper over a layer of gold, not to mention the materials that make the gold color? Waverly,Kluson & Grover use real gold on theirs, that's why they're 300 plus? The gold tuners I use on my customers guits start at $20 a set wholesale, so I know what you mean?
