AGP #483 – “FJ”Scale: 23 inches3 String Fretless Hubcap GuitarStrings: .046NW .032NW .021NWTuning: G D gAnother one of the several Hubcaps that have been gathering dust in my shed for the last couple of years, this one is a 1953 “FJ” Holden Chrome Steel Hubcap, with “Gutter Rash”, where it came from has been lost in time, I think it was a gifted to me, along with the previous Build, a 1948 “FX” Holden Hubcap.The Backing Plate is a $1 Stainless Steel Charity Shop Purchase, the Neck is recycled Camphor Laurel, Cedar and Merbau, a 4k Gitty Flat Wound Humbucker is wired through Vol & Tone Pots to the Output Jack.As per one of the Pics, I originally used a Ghosted 10.5k Zebra Humbucker, but it was too far from the Strings, with very weak volume, and a pretty shitty sound. :-)

"Thanks UJ & Doug", just cleared the dust off the remaining Hubcaps, and found I still have 10 left, 8 shiny ones and 2 painted ones, also found 2 dog bowls under the dust, can't decide whether to do more Hub Cap builds, or use a couple of recently purchased nice Cedar Cigar Boxes ;-)
