  • "Robust", good word BQ, the Box Timber was sourced from 16mm x 2400mm x 1200mm sheets of all weather Pine Plywood, which were used by me as Scaffold Decking, in my former life as a Bricklayer, some 18 years ago, the grey colouring is the result of being coated with Sump Oil to help protect it, and believe me it had to be "Robust" because of the way it was used and abused. :-D

  • That box is quite robust!

  • Thanks!

  • "Thanks UJ", the Headstock Monogram Font is an Old Newspaper Type, which I like a lot, and will probably use it a bit more often.

    This Build was going to be the original 4 String Weissenborn Style CBG Lap Slide we talked about, hence the biggish Box and the wider Neck, but when got to adding the Box Neck, I couldn't find a way to continue the void from the Main Box to the Neck Box, which sort of defeated the purpose of doing that type of Build in the first place, so, as I always say, things change as the build progresses, hence the final result is a good old standard 3 String Fretless Geetar, I've classed this one as a "Hybrid Relict", as it has some old recycled crappy timber, and some Shiny Hardware. ;-D

    PS. Had to take these Pics inside my Work Shed, because it won't stop "Bloody Raining" ;-{

  • Love that monogramed head stock.  A big good on you for all the recycled parts and woods.  A good looker.
