AGP #467 - 3 String Fretless Hybrid Relict GuitarScale: 629mm / 24¾ inchesStrings: .040NW .026NW .018NWTuned: A E aThe Box Frame is Recycled 16mm Pine Ply, the Top & Bottom Sound Boards and Neck are 12mm Recycled Hardwood Ply of unknown types of Timbers, the Fretboard is a piece of recycled unknown hardwood, all Timber has been given 2 coats of Clear Acrylic Gloss.The 7½” Saw Blade, was an old Blunt & Rusty reject from a couple of years back, but buffed up alright with a bit of Steel Wool and Elbow Grease.A 12.1k Dual Rail Humbucker is wired through Vol and Tone Pots to the Output Jack. :-)

  • "Thanks Doug", I probably should have taken a few more Pics of the building process but didn't, but basically I cut a hole 20mm smaller than this 190mm blade, and then run a 12mm wide x 3mm deep rebate with a router around the edge, under the screws, between the blade and the timber rebate, is a small 6mm grommet, small nuts or springs would have the same effect, which is to give the blade a bit more ring to it, rather than screwed directly onto the timber, which does tend to deaden the ring tone.

    This is actually the fourth build I've done using circular saw blades, all attached in different ways, but unfortunately like this one, I neglected to take the build process Pics, I hope all this makes some sort of sense! ;-D  

  • I’m inspired AGP! I have a few saw blades hangin’ up in my workshop. How did you mount the blade? I can see the 4 screws, but not what is underneath.
