AGP #450 - “Arfa Git”3 String Fretless GuitarStrings: .042NW .028NW .019NWTuned: G D gThe Body & Fretboard is Recycled Radiata Pine, the Neck is Recycled Merbau, coated with a Brown Stain and Citronella Lamp Oil, which has been gathering dust in the shed for a few years, worked well, smells nice & should keep the Mozzies away!After 450 odd builds, which equates to abt 1,350 Machine Heads, your bound to get a few that are a bit worse for wear, or shoddily made, the three mismatched ones used here have been rescued by the addition of new geared cogs, the String Ferrules are ⅛ inch Rivet pieces.A 6.2k MGB Mini Box Bucker Pup is wired through Vol and Tone Pots to the Output Jack, the Jack & Vol Tone plates are offcuts of Galvanised Roofing Strap. :-)

  • "Thanks Bob", the original Stain was called Japanese Brown, but it was very dark (nearly black), so I thinned it right down with Methylated Spirits to lighten it, and will probably lighten it a bit more! :-)

  • Nice and interesting build AGP.  The staining brings out the character to compliment the shape.

  • "Thanks UJ", It was originally going to be built the other way round, so I guess there is a possibility to build the other half,  and then maybe, join them together to create a Twin Neck Build.
