  • "Thanks UJ', as stated before this is just one of 6 Aluminium Steamer Basket Builds I've done, with more to come at some time in the future, AGP #97 - "Tenor Banjo'y Thing'y" is, as the name suggests, a 22¾ inches Scale 4 String Fretted Tenor Banjo Type Build, built back in April 2014, originally tuned g C E A, then changed strings to suit G D G B, then G C G C and G D G D, but as with most of the 4 String builds I have, I struggle to make any sense out of them, and use them properly with my Slide only style of playing, and with all these changes to strings and tunings, #97 never did sound any good, so, probably much to your disgust ;-{ , it will be converted to a 3 String GDg build later today, along with a different Nut, Bridge and Tailpiece, to try and get a decent sound out of it.  :-)

  • "Thanks Bob "Ambrose" Negus ", the Laminated Neck is one of 9 I recently glued together, using left over off cuts from previous builds, and the tailpiece is one of my favourites, which I use regularly. :-)

  • Very well done, AGP. You win the prize for building the most and most varied CBG and related guitars.
  • Great use of materials AGP!  The holes in the steamer tin go well with the strainer tailpiece... nice looking neck too!
