AGP #417 “Brassy Bowl”. 2 String Fretless Brass Bowl Guitar.Scale:648mm/25½”. Strings: .042NW/.032NW/. Tuned G CYet another Bowl Build, this time a Brass one, this thing has been sitting in a draw in my shed for around 6 or 7 years, with me having no idea about how I was going to use it, finally came up with this design, to try and get the most of any Resonator qualities it had, will do a Sound Sample for others to judge Aye or Nay.I think I purchased the 200mm diameter Bowl on Ebay, but can’t remember what I paid for it, the Box Surround is European Spruce Pine, the Neck is Grey Ironbark, the Fretboard and Headstock Wings are Merbau, all coated with an Oak Stain and 2 coats of British Paints Acrylic Clear Gloss, a 2.3k MGB Single Coil Micro Pup is hardwired to the Output Jack, I usually stick the Pup down with Hot Glue, but after seeing a few articles about securing them with double sided tape, I decided to use that method, but as you can see by one of the Pics, it failed, with the magnetic pull of the Strings dislodging it, back to the Hot Glue!Decided on a 2 String Chugger, because, like the Bowl, I have had 2 odd Gold Machine Heads sitting in a Box, annoying me for ages! :-D

"Thanks UJ", Yep!, Gold Hardware was the best option to suit the Brass Bowl, the fact that I only had 2 Gold Machine Heads, was the reason it became a Chugger, and yes it's better plugged in, as it has very little unplugged Acoustic Volume. :-)
Interesting and handsome. That head stock and two strings with even mounted tuners looks good and even better with the tuner and hanger brass matching the bowl. Interesting too on the double sided tape. I had not heard people were doing that. I would guess this one is better plugged in. I like.

A fine looking build. Artistic too! Looking forward to hear how this one goes.
