AGP #406 - ''Raw Sugar''

AGP #406 - “Raw Sugar”3 String Fretless Tin Can GuitarScale: 584.2mm / 23 inchesStrings: .020NW/.017PS/.014PS/Tunings Low to High: A/C/E/ & G/B/E/Didn’t have another build in mind for a while, until the “Dear Wifey” arrived home from shopping with this lovely Sugar Tin, which came free with a 1kg packet of Raw Sugar. The Neck and Fretboard are Solid Recyled Pine, with 3 coats of a Brush On French Polish applied.A 3.5k 4 Pole Single Coil Bass Pickup is wired through a Tone Pot to the Output Jack. The Strings and ACE tuning is obviously an attempt at some sort of a C6 Tuning, sounds lovely, but at the moment I have no idea, of what, or how, to play anything on it, apart from a bit of Noodlin’. :-)

  • "Thanks UJ", No!, I don't think you could call it a Raw Tone, , I guess a lot depends on your Amp settings, have just been playing it through my Roland Cube, on JC Clean, with Reverb on full and a little bit of Gain for Volume, and to me it sounds quite nice!, will try and do a Noodlin' Demo tomorrow, and Yes!, it was nice gesture by the Missus in bringing the Sugar Tin home for me! :-)

  • SWEET! Very nice. Does that pickup give kind of a raw tone? I bet you were pleased to see that tin come home.
