AGP #347 - “Puddy One String”
(One String Cigar Box Fiddle)
Scale: 330mm / 13inches
Violin String: 2nd A, Aluminium Alloy Wound, Solid, Steel Core.
The Neck is one piece Radiata Pine treated with Old Baltic Stain & Gilly Stephenson’s Clear Restoring & New Timber Polish, Sharpie Guitar Type Fret Markers, not sure if this is how ones supposed to do a Fiddle Build, but this is my version, using a few angles etc. found on Mr. Google and making it up as I went along, which is what I do with a lot of builds, thanks to Jim Morris for some String advice (still yet to be delivered and fitted) and Matthew Borczon for the idea and inspiration, remains to be seen if it becomes just another instrument in my collection that I can’t play, or not, but will certainly make an attempt to make a noise with it :-D

Comment by AGP # on April 5, 2019 at 9:47am: "Thanks Matthew", I guess it sounds like a One String Fiddle should, I only have a small cheap Bow and I have no idea at the moment about how to play it, like a lot of my different instrument builds when finished, they get put aside until sometime in the future when I get the time and inclination to learn how to play them, :-)

Comment by AGP # on February 23, 2019 at 10:09am: "Thanks UJ", a little bit more work & time involved in complicating things, something I seem to have a knack for doing, a little bit of thought required but worth the effort I think, used Radiata Pine as its easier to work with, and free!, with the final cost being $13AUD, I used the accompanying Pic as a rough guide to angles, scale & measurements etc. :-)
