"Thanks Don", like yourself, I too make up my own sets from my healthy supply of individual strings, using the MPUSTC String Tension Calculator, the first high g string on this build was .010, but broke when tuning, replaced with the .009, which has presented no breakage problems as yet :-)
"Thanks Pick", the Jury is still out on Octave Sound at the moment, Shane Speal has Vid of the one he built, to give some idea as to how it sounds I'll add the Link! :-)

Looks good, would like to see more pictures. I've found that .009 string often breaks, I make up my own sets from the local music store.
