"Thanks UJ", Yep!, the Box deserved a "Recycled, Rustic, Historic Look", (not to be confused with the builder or any other senior member of CBN :-)
Yes! 'UJ', I do have several planers of different types, (none of which were used on this build), they Include Hand Planer's both the standard ones and electric, also a Bench Thicknesser, the Home Made Monster pictured below doesn't get used, but has sentimental value, as I believe it originally belonged to my Grandfather or his Father :-)
"Thanks Denbo", tried for the Rustic look on the Neck, which had to have a bit of a rough sand to de-splinter it, however the Turpentine/Linseed mix I applied, did darken it more than what I would have liked :-)
"Thanks Dave" the sound holes weren't part of the original build, but added after I had plugged it in and played it, and then decided it needed something extra to enhance the sound, after drilling the holes they were a bit "hairy" around the edges which were trimmed with my trusty "Blow Torch" :-D
"Thanks BQ", the Neck was given a coat of Linseed Oil & Turps, but the Box was left 'au naturel' apart from the Sound Holes which were added after I'd finished the build and given a tickle with the Gas Torch, in order to try and enhance the sound, also forgot to mention the Nut, Bridge, Output Jack & Tailpiece were all cut & beaten out from some old unpolished 3/4" round copper plumbers pipe :-)

Look rough, rustic, historic good. I like the old boxes. AGP, so you have a planer?
Love the sound holes.

Yea! That’s a looker! I’m glad you left all the natural patina on, definitely a gem!
