  • I hope the same does happen over your way 'UJ', surely sanity must prevail, but!, sometimes that theory doesn't apply to Politicians :-)

  • Yep! Bones spent quite a bit of time on our many trips to the Kyogle area over the years, with many visits to our good friends in question, and did finally get to go up "Lions Road" a couple of weeks back, very scenic but!, very narrow & winding in parts, the sign at the beginning of Lions Rd, says not recommended for Caravans or Trucks, but of course the road was full of them :-D

  • I hope that happens here.

  • "Thanks UJ", your right many people say I've been going to the dogs for years, but I did actually go to the Greyhound Races with the mate in question a few weeks back while on our Road Trip.

Same over here about the "Tree Hugging Greenies" wanting to ban Dog Racing, and they did ban it for a while in NSW where my mate now lives and races his dogs, after quite an uproar and many protests about taking away the livelihood's of a lot of people and Clubs, they voted out the State Politicians in question, and the decision was reversed by the new ones elected  :-)

  • I know Kyogle very well my wife and I own a coffee orchard over the hill up at Nimbin that’s where we were before we returned to the Apple isle ,,,, back then it was called the cat flap to the rainforest it’s always good to go through there when travelling up the Lions Road way up the the back of qld nsw border .

  • "Thanks Dave", Kyogle is the area my mate lives in, and I think Clodhopper has few meanings - one who Ploughs the land or their Boots, a Candy & a type of Wooden Soled Dancing Shoe, not sure which one these was the reason the Dog was named :-D

  • "Thanks Bones", not his best performing dog, but his favourite, his most successful dog went south "PAW LICKING". Trainer. Kel Greenough. Career. 54 Starts. 32-11-3. Prizemoney. $430,600. one of these wins was the prestigious "Hobart Cup" in 2013  :-)

  • I've been hearing that you were going to the dogs.   Very nice tribute.  I used to go to the dog races with my late brother.  Some places in the U.S. are outlawing dog racing.  To me, that is a shame and injustice

  • Nice One AGP. My best dog ever was named “Clodhopper”. Not a greyhound but a very good dog and best friend. Cheers AGP.

  • That’s a pretty good set of stats .
