AGP #336 - ''Claire''

AGP #336 - “Claire”(3 String Biscuit Tin Guitar) - Scale : 635mm / 25 inchesStrings : .044BW / .030BW / .020PS / - Tuning: G / D / g /The Tin was gifted by a friend, the Neck is Tasmanian Oak, finished with “British Paints One Coat Clear Acrylic Gloss”, a 35mm Disc Piezo is recessed and embedded with hot glue in the through neck just under the Nurses face, and a Rod Piezo is likewise embedded just under the Bridge, both are wired in Parallel straight to the Jack, don’t normally like or use Piezo Pickups, but my faith in them has been now renewed somewhat, as this combination sounds just fine. The Lady featured on the Neck & Fretboard was one of the very early Australian Nurses to have served in France during WW1, and a detailed account of her Life and Times can be found on the “Australian War Memorial” website. :-)

  • "Yep UJ" the Frogs wise words and your comment about adding what the Frog said have just given me yet another idea for yet another theme build to hang on the wall of fame in my "Hideaway Cave" :-)

  • "Thanks UJ", all my builds have a hanger of some sort on them, it's the only way I can successfully store them all in my sheds etc., and the Frog was "Spot On" :-D

  • Pretty nice hanger too.  I have done that before.  I have a reso in progress with a hanger hole drilled.  I will think about adding what the frog says.

  • Like the guitar and love the meaning and tribute.

  • Thanks Dave, still have a few more of these type of Anzac Biscuit Tins in the shed which will be used at sometime in the future :-)

  • Beautiful tin guit AGP! Nice to hear some good news on peizos.
