AGP #335 - “C6 Frying Pan”(6 String Lap Steel Guitar)Scale : 584.2mm / 23inchesTuning Low to High - C / E / G / A / C / E /Strings:.036NW/ .030NW/ .024PS/ .020PS/ .017PS/ .014PS/The 11½“ Teflon Fry Pan was a discard by the Missus, the Back is 3mm Pine Ply, a 7.5k Humbucker is wired through Vol & Tone to Jack, the Neck is Spruce Pine from my trusty old supply of Recycled Piano timber and along with the Back is coated with a Mahogany Stain, the Fretboard is Tasmanian Oak with Pyrographed Markers & Frets etc, and coated with an Old Baltic Stain, all timber then coated with Gilly’s Restoring Wax, C6 is a totally new type of tuning for me, and at the moment is in the too hard basket, will try a bit harder to learn some more about it when time permits, sounds great, but!, I will need some practice :-D

  • Yes Dave!, the first strum does take you straight to the islands, but as yet still need to learn how to C6 Hula Dance under the Palm Trees, and I also am not a fan of Teflon, that's why I use them for Git Builds and not Cooking  :-D

  • Heavy duty cool.  I'd like to give it a go.  Not that I would know what I was doing.

  • C6 is a work in progress for me but it has some automatic qualities. Takes you right to the Islands on the first strum. Nice neck on that baby! But I don’t like Teflon.
