AGP #282 - “49 Vanguard”(3 String Hub Cap Guitar)Scale : 571mm / 22½ inchesStrings : .048NW / .034NW / .024NW /Tuning: G / D / g /Picked up the very rusty and dilapidated Hub Cap for a couple of bucks at a Country Junk Shop, wasn’t a bad buy as it came with readymade Sound Holes and still had a couple of flecks of Chrome left on it :-D, the Cap is from a 1949 Vanguard, built by the Standard Motor Company, Coventry England. The neck is recycled pieces of scrap hardwood, that were coated with Iron Oxide (Vinegar Steel Wool Concoction), the bottom is 3mm Pine Ply washed with a diluted black acrylic paint mix, all the wood was then sanded, given one coat of clear acrylic sealer and then dulled with a light sand paper, a previously used 4k 4 pole Bass Pickup is hardwired to the Jack. This “Relic Git” built by a “Relic Git”, looks “Bad and Mean and Mighty Unclean”, and sounds the same!!, a small scale build that makes a big noise, “I Love It”, but I’m not sure about the neighbours ??????????????

Sweet looking build, AGP! Very well done!
"Thanks UJ", I don't think it would ever clean up any more than what it is now ;-)
"Thanks Jeff", I think they bought their own Ear Plugs a few years back :-)
No Pick, it's a Hub Cap, this is the Gong I nicked from the Japanese Temple :-D
Nice. You cleaned it up just the right amount.
