AGP #274 - “Kerbside Relic 1”(3 String Recycled Timber Guitar) Scale: 660.4mm / 26 inches Strings : .0.36NW / .022NW / .017NW Tuning: B / F# / b /The first build from the recently acquired “Free Cruddy Firewood/Relic Build” timber, the body I think is Spotted Gum, the neck is an unknown hardwood, also rescued from the Kerbside Pickup, in the form of a couple of Louvered Doors, the Fretboard is also an unknown hardwood, all coated with a mixture of Linseed Oil & Turps, a 12.2k Open Humbucker Pickup is hardwired to the Jack, with a grounding wire then going to the Bridge. While building, all I could see were the two bolt holes that looked like Weeping Eyes, so couldn’t help myself, and highlighted them with a Pyro Pen, as is the Neck end of the body, which looked a bit “Un-Relicy” :-D

"Thanks Dave Lynas", no carving involved, the haul of free timber I recently scored was obviously used as garden edging, or something similar, and the outsides were in an early state of decomposition, all I did was blast all the planks with a high pressure water cleaner !!!
"Thanks", Larry, Papa D, Uncle John, the anonymous pick & the eyes look a lot more pronounced in the pic's than they actually are, and are continuing to fade more as the oil & turps coating dries, originally toyed with the idea of doing a full facial type burning of "Treebeard" from Lord of the Rings :-)
