AGP #202 - “Rebar”(3 String Rebar Guitar)Scale : 635mm / 25 inchesStrings : .038NW / .026NW / .018PS /There are other things you can do with a piece of 12mm steel reinforcing rod than put it in concrete !!!This build was obviously inspired by "Pete Reagan’s Iron object with two strings build", that was featured in the Shane Speal Video “2 string E-E tuning. How to play cigar box guitar”My skills with an Arc Welder are basic to say the least, the skull is hiding a blow hole in the front of the head stock and there is another in the back, I have a 2 String and a Diddley Bow build of the same (or similar) materials in mind for the near future. The box sides are 12mm Meranti, the Box Top and Headstock are .095mm Galvabond, a 7.6k - Tele Type Neck Pickup is hardwired to the Jack. The Machine Heads were a bit of a problem to fit, so any future builds will need a bit more thought to solve this minor issue !!!Originally fitted with .042/.032/.024 strings, but didn’t quite have the sound I was after, finally settled on .038NW / .026NW / .018PS /, (which was largely determined by what I had available at the time), and it now sounds “Bloody Awesome” !!!!!

Thanks 'Uncle John', at 2.6kg (5¾lbs) it's a lightweight compared to my previous build (AGP #201 - "Heavy Al", which hit the scales at 6.1kg (13½lbs) !!!
Very cool and great that it sounds bloody awesome. Looks really good. I did think of Pete Reagan when I saw it. You are going to build your arms up playing that one and it may give your sliding hand some callouses!
