Thanks Gary, he's buried in Saint Margaret's churchyard in Rottingdean about two and a half miles from where I live. I go most weeks and sit and listen to the birds, there's a real peaceful vibe about the place, I'm sure Gary would have approved. In the same section as Gary is a man called 'Nimrod Ping' who was a bit of a blues fan and a mate of Steve Darrington who runs the twice yearly Swanage Blues Festival in Dorset! A few plots up is a man that toured the music halls and all though he was a white man he went under the stage name of 'The Chocolate Coloured Coon'! Quite a popular star in his time apparently. He must of made good money out of it because when he retired he moved from up North to the South coast and bought a cottage in one of the highest priced property villages in the South!
