The neck is maple, and I think the fret board is rosewood, I got that wood long enough ago that I'm not positive. But the head is birds-eye maple from the upper peninsula of Michigan. A relative brought me a piece just a bit too short for a neck, and with a twist in it. But it is enough for 4 head stocks. All hand made and shaped with hand held tools. Fret slots were cut with a coping saw, head cut with a hand held scroll saw, and the neck shaped with a hand held sander. This one was made for a local cowgirl, requested by her dad.

Nice. What is that wood? I assumed that was a factory neck, but here it looks like a super good home made. ?
