i cut fret slots in the neck like you would when installing regular frets, then took a V file and widened the slots slightly. once that was done i took the nails with the points and heads clipped off and epoxied them into the grooves. a couple nails wouldnt hold so i ended up using CA glue on a few of them, probably should have went that route originally. once the epoxy/glue was dry i filed the ends and flattened, dressed,and recrowned the nails as you would with regular frets. this part took a lot of work! it was an interesting experiment and the results i think turned out pretty good but im using fret wire on all my future CBGs
