Mama Mojo Canitar - #1008-3CT-001. This is a unique instrument hybrid - it's a canjo and a three-stringed CBG tuned to GDg with a fretted hard maple neck and silver-colored open-geared tuning pegs. It is electrified with a 27mm piezo pick-up and a 1/4 inch jack. Much more playable than a standard canjo, and it sounds like a resonator guitar.

Hi Keni - thanks for your comment. I played around with this design for a while until I came up with the one pictured here. Sound holes in the front weakened the tone, in my view. The way it is now, it rings out quite nicely, and with the back of the can being open in the back where the piezo is located, it picks up that reso sound off the stings, box, and neck very nicely. I hope to get a video up soon - still working on the technology amidst several other projects. Will keep you posted!
Very interesting concept. Are you going to post a video with audio? I would love to hear the tone. I am surprised to see there are no sound ports on the front. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
