I've made a port bottle box amp from a cheap 9v mini amp, and it works a treat. The only drawback for cannibalising it was having the input, knobs and LED on a circuit board in a row. At least the power jack and headphone-out was separate, unlike the slightly bigger amp I've put into a suitcase. All of the inputs, outputs, knobs and such were on the one circuit board, leaving me with no option than to add the control panel as one unit. It's nearly finished, I'll post photos soon.
Thank you. Yeah it looks so nice inside it would be a shame not to show it off. Then trying to place knobs and switches where they won't cover the nice detail on the box and not be in wierd places took some planning.
