yeah the pic of th neck isnt great... its all metric here but instead of carving into this one I laminated to 42mm x 6mm together to make the neck and offset for the head so no cutting.... I havnt had buzz problems todate but will keep it in mind should I need to... was just going to fret into the neck as with the last build. I used very fine frets for the last build and it build and think maybe thicker ones wil be easier to play. Stay tuned for the update pics. Thanks for the advice Rand.

Are you fretting a fretboard? Or, will you be fretting the neck directly? The fretboard approach would give a bigger 'string break angle' over the nut, good for keeping the strings in the groves of the nut, and reducing the chance of buzzing. It's hard to see from the photo, but I think maybe you have already shaved maybe 1/4" off the neck to form your headstock. Add a 1/4" thick fretboard and it would would give you a half inch (plus the height of the nut) to bend your strings over on their way to the tuners. Just thinking out loud.
