  • I appreciate the kind words Uncle John. Actually I had a different Bible phrase in mind. My oldest son suggested this one which is the start of Psalm 100. The rest is in the sound hole! Your whole Bible phrase does show up in the Psalms on a few occasions and is an encouragement to strum on!!!

  • Doug, you deserve the CBG Nobel Peace prize for getting so many folks playing and for originality. Amazing and pretty. And I think the whole bible phrase is, "Make a joyful noise with stringed instruments."
  • The “Old Crow” style didn’t look right to me at first, but it has grown on me. Probably because I have got the best and loudest acoustic tone from them. No pickup on this one. Not only is less more, they are super easy to build. And I do like easy a lot! My builds are not as ambitious or varied as yours AGP, but I try to keep them interesting. You set the bar pretty high though.

  • Those “chunky” feet keep it from tipping over. It’s my version of CB Gitty’s flying bridge. 3D printing allows me to easily tweak the bridge height to get the action right and keep the bridge from touching the neck. Tops will vary in how much they deflect from the downward pressure of the bridge. I always appreciate the inputs Brian, thanks!

  • Nice clean looking Stick on a box "Old Crow" style build Doug, sometimes less is more :-)

  • I like how it has such chunky feet, definitely a unique bridge design!

  • Thanks Brian! Thought I would try something different. I am very pleased with the acoustic volume on it. It’s probably a combination of the thinner box bottom, floating neck with flying bridge, and the sound hole. I haven’t needed to add amplification for Zoom and in person meetings which keeps things simple.

  • Interesting shape!!!
