Thanks Uncle John. I will attach some updated models. I am planning on using home depot red oak for the neck and red fret board which are .75 and .25 inches thick accordingly. both are 1.5" wide. I am a bit worried about the .5 radius on the neck as well. maybe i will go with the 3/8" to see what that looks like. Do you have any examples of rivets, maybe some link to a picture or something. maybe a fret across there like i see some others do. i will make these changes and then post.
I think it is gorgeous to look at. I like to router the neck as it looks like it shows here. When I do that, I know it weakens things some. I try to add a 1/4 inch fret board to strengthen. I do not often active this, but for peg head excellence, the strings should line up with the tuners - straight shots--- but there are ways around doing that too. Don't forget you need washers/pop rivets/ something in the tail piece so the wood does not get gouged by the strings.
