Made these with the 2w Qkit circuit. I got the pre-assembled PCB's 'cause I got lazy. Replaced the trim pots with a 10k volume control. Running on 8 AA's (12v), wired to 5-1/2" speakers out of a Saturn Ion. All mounted in Acid boxes with Danish oil finish.These Qkits have a really nice sound and make a great practice amp.

Thanks UJ! I just found these Acid boxes and fell in love with them for amp use. Nice and thick, supports the speaker very well, the labels come off easily and the routed lip on the face gives the box sort of an art-deco feel. BTW, the Saturn Ion speakers are a combination woofer/tweeter with a crossover built in and come with the grills attached behind the door panels. Now, at $2 a piece, whenever I go to the junkyard, I'm looking for speakers!
