They must do brass ones or coloured alloys somewhere although iv'e never searched?
You could try using the ball ends off the end of certain strings as they are brass.
i tried using part of a brass hinge which looked nice when mounted (or perhaps a decorative hinge like on jewerly boxes).....
RIVETS! Genius. Of course!...can't believe I didn't think of that while walking through Home Depot for two days looking for items to repurpose. love it.
QUESTION: Do they make Brass rivets (or gold colored alloy, I thought brass workers with sheet brass MUST have those available)? I've been thinking I'd like to do my next box with all brass screws and hardware (and buffed gold on the tuners).
