Simple is best for me. Thanks for the info. I did do the current build a bit like this. No spade bit, but I had taken out some stock where a Lowe cone will go and stuck the piezo in place. I did not do the foil thing, but now kind of wish I had. I did sandwich it with the hot melt glue.
I tooled up a old spade bit that had the point broken off set up depth on drill press and chip away it’s rough but cheap .... then as I glue the piezo in use a piece of tin foil place over top of hot glue and smooth it our by pressing down on the tin foil it’s a easy as method UJ I don’t do anything hard just keep it simple .
