Whipped out a rustic look one stringer. Kinda quiet though with no sound holes! Oops! Guess I'll have to go back and cut one or two out. Used small bolts for the nut and bridge with an eye-bolt for a tuner. Works surprisingly good.

  • Not at all Mike!  I got the idea from another "Nation" citizen.  I think I picked up on it while looking at some of Old Lowe's builds.  My memory isn't great but I do think he deserves the credit.  At any rate it was not my idea but I thought it was good and so I gave it a try.  I think it looks OK.  Anyway, all I did was grabbed an old rattle can of black spray paint off the shelf and gave the raw wood a good hose down.  Once it dried, I just hit it with sandpaper in a random manner.  Pretty simple!
  • if ya don't mind me asking what's your process for antiquing the wood and box?
