  • yeah, I feel dumb, the tuner pics make no sense to me, not sure what you're showing me (other than the open backed tuners from Gittys) ...unless you meant using the butterfly bolt as a tuner...that's a nice cheap fix
  • Thats what im gonna try with the stainless i have cut a nice shape and mount it that way.. sis the pics of the tuners make sense?
  • I know what you mean.  I had to really gouge out an ugly dip in one--- outside looks great inside like a beaver was chewing it....once the box was built it was too late...but I'd like to get one of those flex-driver attachments for my drill so i can get in there.  Other option is to drill a bigger hole from the outside then use a little mounting plate (maybe something homemade to approximate the jack plate on an LP or Tele jack)

  • I have tried that a couple times but the drill i use does not fit. Im gonna try a new idea on my next build ill see what happens and let you know.
  • just a minor thing...what about routing the jack hole from inside so it lays flush on the outer surface...would allow you to use an angle plug (my fav is to use angle plugs wth my CBG for ergonomics and nothing poking into your leg or something to get hit...
