yeah, I feel dumb, the tuner pics make no sense to me, not sure what you're showing me (other than the open backed tuners from Gittys) ...unless you meant using the butterfly bolt as a tuner...that's a nice cheap fix
I know what you mean. I had to really gouge out an ugly dip in one--- outside looks great inside like a beaver was chewing it....once the box was built it was too late...but I'd like to get one of those flex-driver attachments for my drill so i can get in there. Other option is to drill a bigger hole from the outside then use a little mounting plate (maybe something homemade to approximate the jack plate on an LP or Tele jack)
just a minor thing...what about routing the jack hole from inside so it lays flush on the outer surface...would allow you to use an angle plug (my fav is to use angle plugs wth my CBG for ergonomics and nothing poking into your leg or something to get hit...
