  • ya dun good boy!! ya dun real good
  • Well all I did is paint the wood kinda light with flat black works best, let it dry good and scrub the hell out of it with fine steel wool until I got the look I wanted
  • I like the pop rivets too. Did not notice the first time. And the tail piece.

I am trying to quit building. I have 10 CBGs and 2 mandos! But IF I succomb to 'needing' an old schoool looking axe.... Can you explain how you did the black paint followed by removing it with steel wool?
  • Well the neck is made of old ash.I fixed it to the body with 4 wood screws. The inside of the box has 1/2 inch thick wood all around to make it strong enough to hold the neck good and steady and it is does not flex at all.Frets are brass music wire and piezo is in wood with my own little touch that is all mine and sounds crazy good, very mellow and deep. Thanks u-all for the kind words.
  • I really like the look of this guitar, but I'd like to know more about the neck.
  • Classy.
  • really nice guitar there
  • neato!!
  • Oh wow! Thanks a bunch glad you liked it.
  • 5 stars from me Charles. Much to like: the offset peghead. The cool and functional dogleg back brace, the pick guard, the volume knob the bit of metal trim with the jack and knob. The overall old and loved look. Looks like one Lightnin' Hopkins would have played. Elemental old school CBG.
