Thanks. Salvaged the lace from my old work boots. Was going to string it up the "wrong" way, but since this one is a gift, I wanted to make tuning as straight forward as possible.
The whole guitar is nice, but that top tie pleases me most. Jason, most of us don't mind running the string on the 'wrong' side of the tuner. Sometimes that eliminates the need for string guides. - Nothing wrong with string guides. I use them more than I want to. I just feel better when I don't have to.

Good reason. Factory instrument players tend to crank away in the usual direction.
