Well, the oak seems to be pretty stout, but I haven't strung it up yet to see. I'm still trying to decide how to treat the sound holes. On a 3 stringer, though, I doubt that there will be any issue with the integrity.
how does cutting out that section for the magnetic pickup effect your integrity? I haven't dared cut that deep into my necks yet, but I'm hoping to gain the confidence... someday...somehow!!
