hello brandon,to answer yer question of the tuners,i guess the answer is its because they are closer to reach for turning and because they kinda look cool in the back of the guitar.no special reason fer sure its just that they are different, when they are in the back.
hello brandon, just stopped by ta tell ya that my inspiration for the double barrel canjo came from CanJoe* John. i wondered if i could get more volume by using 2 cans instead of one so i figgered out how to build a 2 stringer with 2 cans.the bridge in the pic is just the right width to touch the edge of each can therefore transfering vibration to both cans. once i set it up to play there was a buzz of some kind so i changed out the bridge before i did the video sound check. it worked out good in the end.
