The little triangle shape off the nut turned out better than I thought. The grains from the zebrawood sort of blend in to the grains on the walnut (can't really see it from this pic).At first, I started out with a much bigger triangular shape... but when carving it to get a better shape, before I realized it I was getting close to the nut! I like carving wood when you have a lot of surpluss to work with... in this case, sometimes you just have to cut your losses and live with what you've done, otherwise if you keep going you ruin the nut slot (and the neck!).
