  • tuned dD aA dd, 15" strings are something like .016/.032 .010/.022 .016/.016 Sounds amazing, partly because of the octave pairings and partly because of the vintage cedar box. Not flashy to look at, but I did not want anything extra on the box to hamper the ring. I'll try to post a video of it in the days ahead. Also using the low/narrow fretwire eliminates any intonation problems on the lowest frets near the nut. Spot on a 5, 7 and 12.
