The neck is a handle from a post-hole digger. I did not wire the ground to the bridge although I have in some builds by soldering the wire to the bolt and running it through a small hole to the inside. I did put a 0.010uF capacitor between the hot and the ground on the jack.
I'm surprised no one has commented on this bass. It is really badass. It looks great overall. I used a post hole handle in a one-sting a while back, and enjoyed using it for a neck. Nice way to do the frets - was it difficult to ensure accurate placement this way? More on your truss rod if you don't mind, too. And finally, can you show the joint you used for the headstock?
