Wow, this is great! I love your string through pickup. I used to have a 30s horseshoe magnet lap steel with pass through strings. It was the best sounding lap I've ever had. Wish I'd never sold it. I didn't know what I had back then...
cedar top and back, chambered oregon core, cookie tin lid 'cone' , Qld walnut neck, string thru pickup etc
strings go thru the nut rather than drop in, head scarfed on sidewards
built up with veneer and rebated back with router
built up with magnets and bits of a broken hacksaw blade and veneer. The strings go through the coils.. (its a bucker, the switch on the coverplate is series/parallel option for the lead pickup..) this type of pickup is a 50s concept from steel guitars, although I am not aware of any humbucking ones. the Supro and Fender ones are among the best guitar pickups ever made imho. This is my first crack at it
