  • Yup, I reinforce a bit.   But I have never built ANYTHING where I can't look back and think what I could have done better.   You have a winner here.

  • Bridge plate. You could have added a thin cleat under the bridge on the inside of the box to keep it from cracking. The grain on the cleat should be cross grained to the top grain... like plywood. With electrification, it doesn't matter as much, but for acoustic you need the bridge well out on the soundboard.

  • Thanks guys. The reason I put the bridge so far back is that the box was so old and fragile. I didn't wan't to risk cracking the lid. Now there's less pressure on the lid. It still souded pretty loud so I'm happy with it.

  • I'm with Uncle John on this one. A beauty but for the small thing...

  • Nice 2 string, box, wood tones, volume knob.   Like the 4 corners  box closers too.  One small thing.  You would get better tone if the bridge was  not so close to the end.
