Sorry - just had an idea you might like. You could make a cover for the whole pickup plate - THIN laminate of some kind (wood or synthetic) and in that laminate drill 3 holes where the strings pass over and fill those holes with a contrasting colour material. It would look like a custom pickup. Anyhoo..like I said, slick build.
That is lovely! Really cool f holes. I wonder if it would look even better with some kind of laminate covering the 6 poles. Personally, I always think the mismatch of poles to strings kinda spoils the look of a lot of 3 and 4 stringers I see. But that's just me. This is a really slick build.
