It is a plastic clothes hanger. I cut it into pieces just over 1/4" long and drill holes of matching diameter through the fretboard. Works pretty good for me, only drawback is that sometimes a small pinhole opens up in the center as I sand them down flush. (And thanks for the tip on how to add comments, I am still relatively new and still learning the ropes)
