  • Thanks for the compliment on the vol. control Ted, Ive seen alot of your work and you do amazing work on your builds! One of the very best on here!!

Not sure of my favorite B-side but I've always loved Zep's Hey hey what can I do. So I'de have to put that up there near the top.
  • I used a seperate fretboard for top of neck and extented the fretboard to cover the tail piece as well. Yes, the box can still open, the main poplar neck piece is attached to the top of cigar box. I'm at a stand still waiting for the tuning pegs to come in the mail then I can string it up and start making any needed adjustments. As for the tension pins I did sink them in a touch more since this pic was taken, hopefully I won't run into them poping my strings. Being this is my first build I'm trying to learn as much as I can from this build.
  • How did you do the fretboard extension? Can the box be opened? My next project is a 5 Vegas box and I'm still shopping for ideas on how best to proceed. I have a neck from a junk Uke,so a "through body" isn't possible at this time.
  • Nice job. Clever bridge/know treatment.
  • Howdy...looks good...one thing I can tell you, I tried the tension pins in the tail stock and I found them to be too sharp, once you put tension on the string the pins put a sharp crease in the string, especially wrapped strings....just my experience, your may be different...great looking rig..
