A most beloved car of my youth......it's a shame youth is quick to "move on" ..too busy to rebuild it after it's death by using as a daily driver and putting MANY miles on the orig engine..., of course another car took it's place....this car had more chrome than you could shake a stick at.....the leather interior, and even the leather headliner had chrome RIBS, and the windows were framed in chrome, all electric seats, windows, etc. acquired from the orig owner...the GRILL was amazing.....chrome and gold tone bullets, and the classic bra bumpers with rubber caps, situated under the headlights....this caddy had a dropdown gear in the gaspedal...for super accelleration.....VROOM!!!!!!!( that gear actually saved my life once)...

Wes, you are right! I felt that way going to see a B-17similar to the ones my Dad served in, getting a greater sense of the bravery of those young people... ....hard to imagine how MUCH things would change over the years......many vehicle bodys are mostly plastic panels, now!
