I had a 50’s Silvertone radio as a child. I’d listen to brother Gatemouth late at night in bed. His show was from Shreveport Louisiana. Gatemouth ran the Star record shop and played Howlin Wolf and the blues cats of the day. Also listened to The Grand Ol Opry and such. It formed my musical tastes to this day.
Nice pairing. I have a 56' Silvertone acoustic guitar that was later electrified by me. I think that my guitar and your radio (now amp) were sold by Sears and Roebuck Company. And now I am thinking about how my brother and sisters and I liked to look and wish with the Sears Christmas catalog.
