1954 Nebraska License Plate Guitar

Custom built 1954 Nebraska LPG for David Anthony Foster. 1954 Nebraska Plate, barnwood body, the mallard display back is from an old wooden serving tray, maple neck/heel/fretboard, walnut headstock wings, walnut fret dots, 24" fretted scale, Elmar "Original Flatpup" pickup from Vienna, Austria, old 12 gauge "Peters High Velocity" shotgun shell volume knob, gold 3 string adjustable bridge, gold skull sealed gear tuners, onyx nut, gold strap buttons. Tuned GDG.

  • Thanks James! I picked up a stack of these Mallard Duck serving trays at a flea market or garage sale at some point last year and they kinda sat of in the corner of the shop until I got to thinking.......hmmmmm maybe use them for backs on the gits :-) 

    Thanks Glenn! I picked up a whole box of old paper shotgun shells at a garage sale, I was pretty excited when I dug thru it and saw all the old Remington, Peters and Winchesters and such.

    I'm not much of a photogragher but the river sure makes it easy to take a decent pic :-)
