1937 Philco radio

This was given to me by a good buddy who wants to turn it into a twin tube amp. The tweed obviously needs to be replace but other than that I'm gonna try to leave as stock as possible.

  • That's cool Adam, I have a couple like this also but I am thinking I'm gonna try using the old speakers. Give it a real 20's sound, I'm hoping to revive the old radio's and use them as the amps. Wish me luck (I'll need it).

  • That's a beauty.   Yup.  replace the tweed and leave the patina.

  • Doin the same with a Pye Sunburst radio for my Wife's birthday combo (Roosterman is making a very special guitar as well). I'm turning one of those Bush repro radios into a battery amp.
