Back at it I am. #171 - "Mainiac" is a real dandy and just a li'l bit crazy. While playing some gigs in Maine last week, Claudia and I discovered an awesome antiques emporium in Brunswick where I found this unused, unscathed 1934 license plate (among some other 'treasures' that will be evident in the future). And old oak cigar box with a handwound pickup, an oak (recycled church pew!) neck and flamed maple fingerboard give this ol' boy the screamin' meemies! The headstock features three black tombstone tuners and I found an old fishing lure of my dad's (de-hooked it, as it were) and think this is a nice 'n nutty touch. It sounds awesome and it just might be one I won't let get away.
