#163 - "Miss Santa Fe" is a demure, 3-string fretless CBG who's hand has already been spoken for. Though she is a vintage antique whose corners are a bit worn and colors faded by sun and love, she remains pretty and rather coy with her local cherry neck, African walnut fingerboard, and 5-piece cherry/mahogany/maple headstock plate. A birdseye maple endplate keeps her bottom tight and the bone nut and maple saddle make her voice clear. Vintage-style, pearloid tuners keep her right in tune with the times. A simple piezo pick-up allows her to plug in and speak up if the situation warrants, but generally she prefers to sing softly to herself - perhaps of turquoise, cactus and desert sunsets?
