  • Might be a bad connection or break in a wire.  Try using a jumper wire over each wire or a multimeter to check continuity.  I received a preamp with a bad solder joint on a pot tab.  I discovered it when I  was touching each tab with a wooden probe.

  • Only had it plugged in with a gain on zero
  • It gets louder buzzing when I touch the strings yes it's a Piezo rod I'm new to all this
  • Piezo? Oh, you mean like an acoustic guitar or uke pre-amp with rod piezo? Does it buzz even with the amp gain turned down a bit?
  • Has buzzing when plugged into amp like bad ground not sure how to fix it was a store-bought preamp
